Questions

Is my PDF uploaded to edit it?

No. The editor runs in your browser, on this device. Your PDF, and everything you type into it, stays here: nothing is sent to a server, so there is nothing to store, read or leak.

Can I change the words that are already in the PDF?

Not directly. This editor adds to a PDF rather than rewriting it. To replace a word, cover it with Whiteout and type the new word over it with Text. The original words are still in the file underneath, so Whiteout isn’t a safe way to hide private details.

Which letters and accents can I type?

Text uses the standard PDF fonts, Helvetica, Times and Courier, which every PDF reader has. They cover English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and other Western European languages, with their accents. Anything outside them, such as emoji, Greek or Chinese, is pointed out before you save.

Can I edit a PDF without a mouse?

Yes. Under Options, every tool has an Add button that places a new item on the page in view. Tab goes to the items you added: the arrow keys move one (Shift moves it further), Alt with an arrow key resizes it, Enter edits its text and Delete removes it. The list under Options shows everything you added, page by page.

Are links, bookmarks and form fields kept?

Yes. What you add is written into the PDF itself, and the rest stays as it was: links, bookmarks, form fields, page sizes and text you can select. Comments become standard PDF comments that other readers list too.
