Questions
Are my dates sent anywhere?
No. The calculator works in your browser on this device. Your dates are never uploaded or stored, and they’re gone when you close the page.
How is the age worked out?
On the calendar: whole years first, then whole months, then the days left over, so months of different lengths and leap years are counted as they fall. Someone born on March 15, 1990 is 36 years, 7 months and 13 days old on October 28, 2026.
What if I was born on February 29?
In years without a February 29, the calculator counts the birthday on February 28, the last day of the month, so that’s when you turn a year older. Some laws use March 1 instead. Other month ends work the same way: someone born on January 31 is a month older on February 28 (or 29 in a leap year).
Why are the hours approximate?
They’re the days times 24. The calculator doesn’t know the time of birth, and clock changes for daylight saving time make some days 23 or 25 hours long.
