Questions

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. Your browser does all the work on this device. The video is never sent to a server, so there is nothing for anyone to store, watch or leak.

Why can a GIF only be 20 seconds long?

GIF is an old image format that stores every frame as a separate picture, so files grow fast: a 20-second GIF can easily pass 10 MB. For longer clips, trim the video and share it as a video instead.

How do I make the GIF smaller?

Make it shorter or narrower, or choose a lower frame rate. Halving the width makes the file about four times smaller. The estimated size under Options changes as you go.

Does the GIF have sound?

No. GIF images can’t contain sound. To keep the sound, trim the video instead, or save the sound with Video to MP3.
