QR code generator
Make a QR code for a link, text, Wi-Fi network, email or phone number, and download it as PNG or SVG. Free, with no expiry and no tracking.
What’s in the code
A web address such as https://example.com, or any text.
Phones that scan the code can join the network without typing the password.
Include the country code, such as +1 for the US, so it works from anywhere.
Preview
PNG for documents and websites, SVG for print at any size.
What you type stays on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
Did this save you time? DigiTools is free, with no ads and no sign-up. Leave a tip (opens in a new tab) to help keep it that way.

Questions
Is what I put in the QR code sent anywhere?
No. The code is made in your browser on this device, so your links, Wi-Fi password and contact details are never uploaded or stored.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The code holds your link or text itself, not a redirect through our servers, so it works for as long as the link does. There are no scan limits and no tracking.
Which error correction level should I choose?
Medium suits most uses. Choose High if the code may get scratched or dirty, or if you’ll put a small logo over the middle. Higher levels make a denser code, so print it a little larger.
Why won’t my QR code scan?
Most problems come from low contrast, a light code on a dark background, or no margin around the code. Use a dark code on a light background, keep the margin, and print it at least 2 cm (about 1 inch) wide.
