Questions
Is my signature uploaded or stored?
No. Your signature is made and saved in your browser on this device. It’s never sent to us or anyone else, and it’s gone when you close the page.
How do I add my signature to a PDF or Word document?
For a PDF, use Sign PDF on this site: draw or type your signature there and place it on the page, with nothing uploaded. In Word or Google Docs, insert the PNG as a picture and move it into place. The transparent background lets the line underneath show through.
Is an electronic signature legally binding?
In many countries, including the US, the EU and Brazil, an electronic signature can be legally valid for many everyday agreements. Some documents, such as wills or property deeds, may need a handwritten or certified digital signature, so check the rules where you live if it matters.
I can’t draw with a mouse. What else can I do?
Choose Type and enter your name to make a signature in a handwriting style; it works entirely with the keyboard. On a phone or tablet, drawing with your finger or a stylus is usually easier than with a mouse.
