Questions
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser does all the work on this device. The video is never sent to a server, so there is nothing for anyone to store, watch or leak.
Does trimming reduce quality?
No. The clip is copied out of your video without re-encoding, so the picture and sound are exactly the same, and even long videos take only seconds. It’s saved in the same format as the original.
Why does my clip start a little early?
Videos are stored in groups of frames that each begin with a keyframe, and a clip copied without re-encoding has to begin at one. MP4 and MOV clips are marked to start playing exactly at your start time, though a few older players show the moment before it. WebM and MKV clips begin at the keyframe just before your start time, usually a second or two early, and the result tells you when that happens.
Can I trim without dragging?
Yes. Type the start and end times, such as 0:05.5 or 1:20. Or select the position slider, move it with the arrow keys and use Set start here and Set end here.
