How to add days to a date
- Choose the start date (today until you change it), and whether to add or subtract.
- Type the number and choose days, weeks, months, years or business days.
- Read the new date and its day of the week. For business days, choose a country to skip its public holidays too.
Questions
Are my dates sent anywhere?
No. The calculator works in your browser on this device. Your dates are never uploaded or stored, and they’re gone when you close the page.
What is January 31 plus one month?
February 28, or February 29 in a leap year: when the new month is too short for the day, the result is its last day, as calendars and spreadsheets do it. The calculator says so when it happens. Adding 30 days instead gives March 2 (March 1 in a leap year).
How are business days added?
From the day after the start date, each Monday to Friday counts as one, skipping weekends and, if you choose a country, its public holidays. So 1 business day after a Friday is the Monday. The start date itself never counts.
Does “30 days from today” count today?
No. The start date is day 0, so 1 day after a Monday is the Tuesday, and 30 days after October 1 is October 31. Some deadlines count the first day as day 1; for those, add one day less.
