How to play charades with the generator
- Choose the difficulty, the categories, the seconds per turn and the teams under Game settings.

Questions
How do you play charades?
One player acts out a word without speaking while their team guesses. If the team gets it before time runs out, it scores a point, and the next team takes a turn. Common signs: hold up fingers for the number of words, and tug your ear for “sounds like”.
Will the same word come up twice?
No. Each word is dealt once per game, in an order shuffled on this device, and the page remembers which words were played even if you reload it. When every word in your choice has been used, start a new round of words.
Can we play on a video call?
Yes. The player opens this page on their own phone or computer, presses Reveal and acts on camera. One person can keep the scores on their screen for everyone.
Are the words suitable for children and work?
Yes. They’re everyday things: animals, actions, jobs, sports, objects, places, food and things in the office, with no brand names and nothing a family or a workplace would mind. Easy words suit young children.
Can I print a list of words?
Yes. Under Word list, choose how many words you need and press Show list, then print or copy it: handy for a classroom, or for cutting up and drawing words from a hat.
