Questions
What makes a good icebreaker question for work?
One that anyone can answer in a minute without sharing anything private. Quick and fun questions suit a weekly meeting, get-to-know-you questions suit a new team, and deeper ones suit groups that already know each other. Every question here is written to be work-safe and inclusive.
Will the same question come up twice?
Not until you’ve seen every question in the categories you chose. The order is shuffled on your device, and the page remembers which questions you’ve had, so next time it carries on where you left off. Then the questions are shuffled again.
How do I use it on a video call?
Share your screen and press Present: the question fills the screen in big type. Press Next or the right arrow key for another, and Escape to leave. Show 3 at once lets people choose the question they like best.
Can I use it with kids or in a classroom?
Yes. Choose Kids and classroom for questions written for children, or mix them with Quick and fun. Take turns, with a timer, makes sure everyone gets a go.
Is anything sent or saved?
Nothing is sent. Which questions you’ve seen, your categories and the names for turns are kept only in this browser on your device.
