Questions

What’s the difference between the lap time and the total?

The lap time, or split, is how long that lap took on its own. The total is the time on the stopwatch when you pressed Lap.

Does it keep time in a background tab?

Yes. It records when it started instead of counting ticks, so it stays right in a background tab and while the computer sleeps. It even carries on if the page reloads.

How do I open the laps in a spreadsheet?

Press Download CSV and open the file in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, or press Copy as CSV and paste. Each row has the lap number, the lap time and the total, and both again in seconds for formulas.

Is anything sent anywhere?

No. The stopwatch runs in your browser. Its time and laps are kept on this device only, so a reload doesn’t lose them, and Reset clears them.
