Questions
What is the Pomodoro Technique?
A way of working in short, focused sessions: 25 minutes on one task, then a 5-minute break, and a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes after four sessions. Each session is a “pomodoro”, Italian for tomato, after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer its creator Francesco Cirillo used.
Can I change the times?
Yes. Focus sessions can last 1 to 120 minutes, short breaks 1 to 60 and long breaks 1 to 90, and the long break can come after 2 to 12 sessions. A change applies to the next phase, or to the one on screen if it hasn’t started.
What does Skip do?
It moves straight to the next phase. A skipped focus session isn’t counted, so the long break still comes after four finished sessions.
Is anything sent or saved?
Nothing is sent: the timer runs in your browser. Your settings, theme and sound and today’s count of sessions are saved on this device only.
