Countdown timer
A big online timer to put on a shared screen. Pick a time, watch a ring, hourglass, candle or rocket count it down, and hear a chime, bell or fanfare at the end. Stand-up mode gives everyone the same time to talk.

Questions
Does the timer keep going if I switch tabs or my computer sleeps?
Yes. It remembers the moment the time is up instead of counting seconds, so it stays right in a background tab and catches up as soon as you come back. The time left also shows in the tab’s title.
Why didn’t I hear the alarm?
Browsers only let a page make sound after you press something on it, so the timer gets its sound ready when you press Start. Check the volume and press Test sound. If your device is muted, the alarm is silent, but the screen still shows that time’s up.
How does stand-up mode work?
Type or paste the names, choose how long each person gets and press Start stand-up. The timer shows who’s speaking, who’s next and how long the meeting has taken. Press Next speaker when someone finishes, or Skip for someone who passes. Tick Shuffle the order for a different order each time.
Can I show it on a projector or in a video call?
Yes. Press Full screen (or F), then share that window or tab. The time fills the screen, and the screen stays on while the timer runs, in browsers that allow it.
Does anything flash when time’s up?
No. The end is a steady highlight with a gentle pulse, slower than once a second, and confetti if you want it. If your device is set to reduce motion, the pictures keep still, there’s no confetti and the end is a still highlight.
Is anything sent or saved?
Nothing is sent: the timer runs in your browser. Your theme, sound, volume, last custom time and stand-up names are saved on this device only, for next time. A copied link keeps its settings after the # sign, a part of the address browsers never send to a server.
