How to play a drawing game with the generator
- Choose the difficulty, the categories, the seconds per turn and the teams under Game settings.
- Hand the screen to the artist. They press Reveal, read the word alone, and draw it on paper or a whiteboard while the timer runs.
- Press Got it when their team guesses (one point), or Skip for another word. Then it’s the next team’s turn.
Questions
How do you play a Pictionary-style drawing game?
One player draws a word, with no letters, numbers or talking, while their team guesses. If the team gets it before time runs out, it scores a point, and the next team takes a turn. All you need is paper and a pen, a whiteboard, or a drawing app on a shared screen.
Will the same word come up twice?
No. Each word is dealt once per game, in an order shuffled on this device, and the page remembers which words were played even if you reload it. When every word in your choice has been used, start a new round of words.
Is this the official Pictionary game?
No. Pictionary is a trademark of Mattel, and this generator has no connection with it. It gives you words to draw for any draw-and-guess game, with pen and paper, a whiteboard or a drawing app.
Can we play on a video call?
Yes. The artist opens this page on their own device, presses Reveal, and draws on a shared whiteboard or on paper held up to the camera.
Can I print a list of words?
Yes. Under Word list, choose how many words you need and press Show list, then print or copy it for a classroom or a party.
