Time calculator
Add or subtract hours, minutes and seconds, find how long it is between two times (past midnight too) and what time it will be after a while, and convert to and from decimal hours.
What you type stays on this device. Nothing is uploaded.

How to add and subtract time
- Pick the calculator you need: add or subtract time, the time between two times, a clock time plus or minus a while, or decimal hours.
- Type the hours, minutes and seconds, or choose the times. Values over 59 are fine: 90 minutes is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Read the answer, with the same time in decimal hours and in minutes.
Questions
Are my times sent anywhere?
No. The calculator works in your browser on this device. Your times are never uploaded or stored, and they’re gone when you close the page.
How do I turn minutes into decimal hours?
Divide the minutes by 60: 45 minutes is 0.75 hours, so 7 hours 45 minutes is 7.75 hours. To go back, multiply the decimal part by 60: 0.2 hours is 12 minutes. Type either form under Decimal hours to convert it.
What if the end time is earlier than the start time?
Then the time runs past midnight: from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM is 8 hours, ending the next day, and the answer says so. For more than a day, use Add or subtract time.
Can I add more than two times?
Add the first two, then type the answer as the first time and add the next. For a week of shifts, the hours calculator adds up every day for you.
