How to count down to a date
- Choose the date, and a time if it starts later than midnight.
- Give it a name if you like, such as “Our trip”.
- Watch the countdown. Copy link gives you an address that opens this countdown again, and this browser remembers it too.

Is my date sent anywhere?
No. The countdown runs in your browser and this browser remembers it for next time. A copied link keeps the date and name after the # sign, which browsers never send to a website.
Which time zone does it use?
Your device’s. A countdown to a date reaches zero at midnight where you are, so friends in other time zones see it end at their own midnight.
How are the days counted?
In calendar days from today: tomorrow is 1 day away. The live countdown shows the exact time left, so the evening before, it shows 0 days and a few hours.
What if the date has passed?
The countdown counts up instead and says how long ago it was.
