Convert CSV to JSON
Paste CSV or open a file to get JSON: an array of objects named by the header row, with numbers and true or false detected. Quoted fields, line breaks inside quotes and the semicolon files Excel saves are all read correctly.

How to convert CSV to JSON
- Paste your CSV, or open a .csv or .tsv file. The delimiter is detected: comma, semicolon, tab or pipe.
- Say whether the first row has the column names, and whether to detect numbers and nest columns such as address.city.
- Check the preview, then copy the JSON or download it.
Questions
Is my file uploaded?
No. The CSV is read in your browser on this device and nothing is sent anywhere, so it’s safe for exports with customer or employee data.
Which CSV files can it read?
Files that follow RFC 4180, and what spreadsheets save: fields in quotes holding commas, line breaks or doubled quotes (""), Windows and Mac line endings, a byte order mark at the start, and semicolon, tab or pipe delimiters. Blank lines are skipped.
What does detecting types do?
Numbers become JSON numbers, true and false become booleans, and empty cells become null. Numbers with leading zeros, such as 007 or a zip code, stay text so nothing is lost. In files with semicolons, decimal commas such as 3,50 are read as 3.50.
What if rows have different numbers of fields?
Missing fields are empty (null with types detected), and extra ones get columns named column4, column5 and so on. The status says how many rows differ and where the first one is, so you can check the file.
