What is Lorem ipsum?
Scrambled Latin from a book Cicero wrote in 45 BC. Printers and designers have used it as placeholder text for centuries because it looks like real text without distracting anyone with its meaning. It’s in the public domain, so you can use it anywhere.
When should I use readable text instead?
When people will review the design. Real sentences in your language show how headings wrap and how the text reads, and nobody mistakes them for a missing translation. The sentences are written for this site and free to use.
What do the HTML tags look like?
Paragraphs, sentences and words are wrapped in <p> tags, and list items in <li> tags inside a <ul>, ready to paste into a web page.
Is the text different every time?
Yes. Apart from the classic opening sentence, the text is put together at random from the Lorem ipsum vocabulary or the readable sentences, so Generate again gives you new text.
