Questions
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser does all the work on this device. The video is never sent to a server, so there is nothing for anyone to store, watch or leak.
Will my video still look good at 10 MB?
Short videos stay sharp. As a guide, 10 MB holds about a minute of clear 720p video. Longer videos get a lower resolution so they still fit, and very long ones won’t fit at all: the tool then tells you the smallest size that works.
What if my video can’t get under 10 MB?
Trim it to the part you need, or remove the sound, and try again. If a first attempt comes out too big, the tool tries again with a lower bitrate and then, if it has to, a lower resolution before telling you.
Does 10 MB mean 1,000 or 1,024?
Sites count it differently, so the tool stays under the smaller number, 10,000,000 bytes, which satisfies both. The sizes it shows count 1 MB as 1,000,000 bytes too.
