Questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser does all the work on this device. The files are never sent to a server, so there is nothing for anyone to store, read or leak.
Will my photo still look good at 20 KB?
At 20 KB the tool has to make photos small, so it reduces the dimensions until the file fits. That’s right for signatures and passport-style photos on forms, but not for printing.
What if a site still says my file is over 20 KB?
Sites count 1 KB as either 1,000 or 1,024 bytes. This tool stays under 20,000 bytes, which satisfies both.
Which format will I get?
JPG, which almost every form accepts. Transparent areas become white.
